This item is used in the construction of UTP Cat 6 patch cables. The connector is specifically designed to allow easy placement of the cable into the connector with the grooves which guide the cable being larger than is found on normal RJ45 connectors in order to accomodate the heavier AWG rating of Cat 6 cable. . Each connector is supplied with a grey strain relief boot which is also manufactured to accomodate the larger girth of the Cat 6 cable.
